Why should you apply?
This summer, close to a hundred college-age students are going to enter into a deep, authentic community with one another while serving the guests and campers of Mission Springs. In a setting where the community is rich and you are serving alongside others who are like-minded, God can break through and show you things about yourself and what it means to live for God.
What is the community like?
Mission Springs is big enough to do some fun programming but small enough to feel personal. Our full-time staff are amazing people who enjoy seeing God touch the lives of people who come here. There is a good chance you will make life-long friends while you are here.
Where is Mission Springs located?
Mission Springs is located in beautiful Santa Cruz County. We are on the Pacific coast about 75 minutes south of San Francisco in the middle of a Redwood forest. Because we are relatively close to several urban areas you will have the chance to serve guests and campers from a variety of backgrounds.
Do I get paid? If so, how much?
This is a summer/seasonal and hourly less room and board position. The pay range is from $249 per week, with room and board included. Positions requiring additional responsibility, leadership, or skill will be compensated accordingly. On-site housing required.
What job classification is this summer work?
This is a summer/seasonal and hourly less room and board position. Typically at the Conference Center, staff will work approximately 40-45 hours per week. At Frontier Ranch, the staff schedules are dictated by the need to supervise kids 24 hours a day while camp is in session. There is some room for flexibility if you cannot work the full summer but preference will be given to those who commit to work the full term.
There are age requirements for certain positions; please refer to the job descriptions for details. Are you 16 years old or going into your junior year of high school? Then consider the Frontier Ranch Jr. Staff Program or select jobs at the conference center.
